TTCers- who have you told?
DH and I have been TTC for 5 months now, and I consider it a personal subject that I do not need to share with everyone I know. Sharing online is different- I won't get asked everyday if I'm pregnant yet ![]()
On Christmas Eve I had an argument with my mother and she told me that 'You need to have a baby- then you'll learn what love really is'. Needless to say, her saying that hurt me deeply. Now, my mother is beyond obsessed with her present Grandchildren and she even said on our wedding video that she wanted more grandkids right away!
For that reason, we have decided not to tell our parents or families that we are TTC. We let them assume what they want. But, on the other hand, I don't think my mother would have been that hurtful had she known that we have been trying.
A few of our friends know we are TTC but we don't advertise it. I think telling people will jinx us...
