We are getting married in just 7 weeks, on July 2nd.
We're kind of planning everything fast because it turns out I am pregnant, due on October 9th, so we sped things up a bit so that we will be married before the baby comes.
We still need to order the tuxes. One of the groomsmen lives upstate near Buffalo, so I was thinking that we should go with a chain like after hours or men's wearhouse so that they could all get the same tux, just from a place local to them. Has anyone ever done this before, or do you know of any other options.
Looking online I actually realized that after hours isn't available way upstate, so does anyone have experience with Men's Wearhouse? What is thier pricing, service and time frame like?
I appreciate any info! Melissa

The easiest thing for you to do would probably be to just pick somewhere around here (we used Tuxedo Park in Carle Place and they've been fantastic to work with!). Have your FH go in and get his tux and you can pick out tuxes for the groomsman. All the guys will have to do is send the store their measurements. They can pick up the rental tuxes from the store the day before the wedding (presumably, they'll be in town for the rehearsal dinner that day) and they can make any adjustments then. This way, you can be sure they're getting the same tux and it's easier for you to just use one vendor. Hope this helps. And congratulations!!

The thing that worries me about that is that the groomsman that is coming from buffalo isn't getting here until about midnight the night before the wedding. he won't be able to attend the rehersal, he couldn't get that day off of work. i'm worried that if we just take his measurements, he might need alterations and it might be a big mess!

What time is your ceremony? For the most part, it seems like the only things they usually need to do are take up the pants and maybe the cuffs of the jacket. In a worst case scenario, I'm sure one of the ladies that day could use double-sided tape and some pins. If he goes to a tailor or tux/suit shop to have his measurements done though, I don't think there'll be much altering needed.

Oh! So even if the shop said they could try to do it in the morning, there probably wouldn't be enough time ... The best thing to do might be to call a tux shop that you're interested in, explain the situation, and see what suggestions they have. I'm sure you aren't the only person this has happened to, so they might have some good ideas. I'm sure it will work out though

You can also try a chain like After Hours (associated with David's Bridal) or Men's Wearhouse since they have chains everywhere. Congrats!

Re: Tudedos
would the groomsmen be able to rent by him and bring it down w/ him? that way he could make sure of all alterations before hand

We got our Tuxes at Mens Wearhouse since we had GM here upstate and in Florida. They picked up the tuxes either here or there (upstate) and traveled with it. Good Luck.
