I'll share a story about my late FMIL and how she and I went to see a movie together. It was only a few months after we met but it was nice to enjoy time with her alone. We saw Sex and the City because she loved that show. I haven't seen the sequel because I think it will be too hard.
We had good one-on-one conversation, one of the few times, it was just her and I.

10! I get along with them really well. My FMIL came dress shopping with me and said that she wasn't getting a daughter in law, she was getting a daughter.

I'd have to give his parents a 8. I love them and his dad is great but his mom can get to overwhelming at times... Prob bc I live with them!

definitely a 10! We get along very well and sometimes I feel like I see them more than my own parents.. I'll go over an visit them sometimes even when FH isn't there LOL.

Ehhh...A 5?
His mom means well, but she does doesn't listen and then takes it out on me and FH. She likes to do things like plan a meal, tell me what it is, have me show up with little back up food (Type 1 diabetic, I very much watch what I eat. I eat usually very simple foods- a concept that seems to escape her. If it doesn't have butter, sugar, or cheese all over it, she has no idea how it can possible taste good)....and then completely change the menu once I am there to things that I just can't eat at all.
It is a very upsetting and frustrating situation. Then when I start to show up with my own food, she gets offended.

i'd have to give them a 9. My FIL's are great! They treat me like one of their own. FMIL even goes with me to do WR stuff. But I'm deducting 1 from them b/c FMIL can sometimes be pushy and overwhelming...sometimes i feel like she doesn't like me but FH thinks i'm crazy...but besides that, they're great!

I would say 8 for FMIL and 10 for FFIL FMIL is awesomeeeeeee but i dont like they way she stands up for FSIL-- FSIL is delusional in every aspect and i cant stand her
FFIL is awesomeeeeee he helped us out so much on our house!!!!!!! hes so funny!!! hes awesome

my FFIL walked in on us doing the deed..... THE most embarassing thing everrrrrr but FH and i laugh about it alll the time!

I would rate my relationship w/ the FIL's a 10+++. They're absolutely amazing and I'm very blessed that I get to join FH's family!

i would give them a 7. they are good people but sometimes they are very pushy, especially FMIL, because her daughters are just like her and think like her, which isn't a bad thing, but they like things done a certain way. and here i am with different ideas.
example: for some strange reason, when his sisters were getting married, they got their fine china, a set of every day plates and then another set of fancier every day plates in case people came over. now i don't know about you, but i am going to be living in an apt. and i don't have a ton of room to have three sets of plates for 12 and even if i did, i wouldn't get a second set of every day plates. for what????? he was trying to convince me to get them and finally i just told him no, for what? and he couldn't give me a good answer so we are just doing one set of every day plates (which is as it should be if you ask me ) and if i was really going to have a party i have no problem pulling out my fine china (if i even get it ) i think its stupid to have them collect dust in a cabinet.
Also, there is a language barrier there so that keeps us from being as close as we can be.

this is a total cultural thing!!!!!!! its the opposite way for us!!! My mom is like your FH's parents.... they are stuck in the old school ways about what is right and how to do things the 'right' way-- where FH's parents are more americanized and dont understand where the hell my parents are coming from!!! I feel for you girl!!! I really do!

I'm going to give them an 9! They are super awesome and just the nicest people you will ever meet. However, they are the complete opposite of my real parents in terms of lifestyle, and they are super religious which we are definitely not. Just little things that make them not feel 100% like another set of parents. but I do love them to death.
Funny story, my FFIL (FH stepdad) thinks he is Elvis. I'm not kidding. He's got the hairdo, and he even has a costume that he wears when he sings. Its hilarious.

I can give the in laws at 9 because they are very sweet and welcoming but FMIL a 2, the only reason why I didn't give her a 1 is because she started saying hi to me...but still has never tried to get to know me, FH and I have been together for over 8 years.

I love my FILs they are so sweet, but like any other FILs they do get on my nerves.
They have embraced me like a daughter ( they have 3 sons and 1 DIL so any female in the house my FMIL is loving.)
FFIL is a bit much sometimes, but I have been arouind for so long its like any other family member. you love them but you hate them at the same time.
When I was going to summer school in college they were nice enought to let me live with them free of charge for the whole summer.
they always get my the best presents and she always makes me a birthday cake

I would give them a 10 definitely! I love my future in laws. They are the best! Even though I disagree with them from time to time and feel like they are a little opinionated, they seriously are the best people and I get along with them really well

I guess I am the only mean one here....lol.
I would give my FSIL's a 2. They barely talk to me when we come over. They always speak Spanish when I am around and it annoys me because they know how to speak English, but never do. One of my SIL's is banned from ever watching my son because she watched him for 1 week when my mom was on vacation and I can't begin to explain the condition I got my son back in every day...lol. Till this day, she doesn't understand why I don't trust her with him. My other SIL is a party girl who has a different man everytime I see her and always asks FH why he is so mellow now and never wants to go out with her. Neither of them is excited at all about the wedding and it bother's me. My FMIL I can't give a score to because we hardly know each other, I know she is a sweet lady and loves FH a lot, but the language barrier has prevented me from getting to know her. FFIL is out of the country so I give him a 5.
Nobody on that side of the family is remotely excited about the wedding or the baby so overall they get a low score :( Am I too mean?

(A) - I'd give our relationship like an 8 out of 10. We get along pretty well, but they are not very easy to let others in, so even after 7 years of dating and 13 years of knowing them, i'm still not 100% part of the family, but i'm probably like 99.5% 'in'
(B) - FH's dad once told me about a crazy acid trip he was on in the 80s. Gotta love it.
