Good morning everyone! My boss is out today .. this means more LIW for me! :)
So here’s the big question:
What was the best vacation/trip you have taken with FH? And why?
I have to say one of my favorites so far was when we went to Riviera Maya, Mexico. We missed our connecting flight and were stuck in Miami airport for over 6 hours until the next one. In a situation like this, I may have killed (or at least ended up hating) almost anyone I was stuck with, but FH and I had SO much fun! We went from restaurant to restaurant, bar to bar, shop to shop .. and just kept each other laughing the whole time. We finally made it to Riviera Maya .. but our luggage didn’t! I was miserable (this was always my biggest nightmare when traveling) but FH was amazing. He didn’t get upset, he kept me calm and smiling .. and he figured out we could take a cab to the nearest Walmart so we went and bought swimsuits, shorts and toiletries. Our luggage finally arrived later that night .. I have never been so happy to see my flat iron! lol
The rest of the trip was amazing! It was romantic and fun. We did excursions, we laid out in the sun and relaxed. We drank, we danced. And even though it started off a little rough, it truly was a perfect vacation!

FH really wanted to go to Holland for our five year anniversary to see the Rijksmuseum (he is an artist). I was worried it wouldn't be romantic (I wanted Paris). It ended up being the most romantic trip ever! Walking along the canals was so beautiful, he bought me tulips, etc. The best part was when we rented a car and drove the countryside. It was breathtaking. The trip made me realize that anywhere will be romantic, as long as I am with FH.

aww both of your stories are adorable!!
FH and I have taken more local trips, but our 1st cruise is coming up in 5 weeks!
Of the trips we have taken so far, I would say going to Philadelphia was the best one. We stayed in an amazing 5 star Hotel in Center City, did some tourist stuff, dinner out at Buddakan (my fave!) and then drinks at a few local hot spots. We had so much fun and drank a weeee bit too much. When we got back to our hotel, the door we came up to said 'for late entrance, ring bell' so I did. And again I rang the bell. And again. (Ok so I was more than tipsy.. lol)
Finally the bellhop motions for us to use the revolving doors bc apparently 2am was NOT late enough to need to buzz in. WOOPS! LOL
We died laughing, like snorty/cry laughter all the way through the lobby and up the elevator. It was so funny!

Best trip FH and I have taken has got to be Greece!!!!! It was the most romantic trip ever. But the beginning of the trip was a nightmare. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. First we got the airport late (FH's fault) and they almost didn't let us check in. Then they had a problem with FH's passport and told him he couldn't travel. In the end they let us get on the plane and had us figure it out once we got the Greece. We get to Greece and everything goes well and while we are waiting for the train I realized I lost our Passports and documentations!!!!
OMG I was freaking out!!!! I wanted to cry b/c it was my fault. I knew that if we didn't get those documents back it would ruin our trip. I must have left them when we were buying our train tickets. I couldn't believe the cool that FH kept. I was the paranoid one and he was trying to calm me down. In the end, someone found the envelope with our documents and took it to the lost and found. By the time we reached the lost and found they already had our documents. What a relief!!!!!!!! The rest of the trip was nothing less than perfect and amazing!!! Just the beginning was rocky.

Unfortunately I work too much and rarely take a vacation. FH and I went to Atlantic City last year for a week and that was very nice. For some reason, I love AC. We're going to Hong Kong in the fall and I am very excited. I've never traveled outside of the USA as an adult.

First off I'm jealous of everyone whose boss is out for the day.. Wish mine was!
humm we take a lot of trips to PA and use my parents house when they aren't there and I always love every one of them cause its usually just relaxing and fun, especially when we take our friends and have what we call a 'DRUNK-AWAY' LOL
but by far best/favorite vaca was Jamaica 2 summers ago. From the second we left we were only talking about going back and up until the actual point that we started planning our wedding we only talked about having a DW there (but that's not happen in the long run obvi) maybe go back for 1 year anniversary or something :)

ooo good question! FH & I LOVE to travel- we have been everywhere...and of all the places we've seen, our favorite trip was actually to Nantucket (other island off coast of Cape Cod) it was June of last year- the most perfect weather, fantastic restaurants, they actually have a brewery, distillary & winery all in one there & we spent one of the days visiting each...& we had a picnic on the beach..all different kinds of stuff to do...
everyone rides there bicycles there it's just this cute little beachy community & I can't wait to some day go back
...I'd say our trip to Italy in March was pretty darn good too (where we got engaged! )

I would say our first trip to the keys in Nov 07. We had perfect weather and we swam with dolphins (I am OBSESSED with dolphins) we went snorkeling and fishing and relaxed on the beach with pina coladas! it was fabulous.

I would say a tie between going to Vegas and going to Atlantis. They were both amazing trips and I would love to go on both of them again in a heart beat.

Our 8th Anniversary Cruise/ENGAGEMENT CRUISE!!!
We had a balcony, a week together, and a lot of free food. OMG! I could live on that boat! We just love vacationing together because we are 100% compatible on that. We don't drink too much, we love snorkeling, and have such an amazing time!

The best vacation was when FH and i went to Boston for five days. FH had gone to BU so it was really nice to see him show me around all the sites of Boston and take me to all the hang outs we even saw blue man group which was really cool. It was really nice to see him in his element.

oooh this is a good one! and a tough one!! FH and I take so many road trips its hard to keep track...we took a trip last year to CA and were in Santa Monica, then San Diego and then drove to Las Vegas for a few days, it was 10 days and soooo much fun!!!

This is tough since we have been on many vacations! I think it would have to be our trip to the bahamas. We won a free vacation and we traveled via cruise from FL. We spent a day there and had a blast. On the boat we made a decent amount of money playing games.
On the island we where relaxing and had access to some great pools. We did so many different water sports even though we both have the fear of drowning.
The best part was we paid for a dolphin encounter, not the ones where you swim with them. I thought they wouldn't give you a life vest so I wanted to be safe. Then when I found out that you do I was sad, but it did cost more money then what we wanted to spend. Well the guy gave us the wrong color bracelets so we got to swim with the dolphins. Also we were supposed to go into small groups, but due to lack of english all the tourists, but me and FH went into the water. So me and FH got alone time with the dolphins when it was our turn.
Luckiest trip of my life from beginning to end.

We had done more local trips up until this past March when we took our first cruise. I loved it! FH isn't all that keen on going out of the country, so I was worried he'd be an anxious wreck and want to stay on the boat the whole time, but we had such a blast. We went and did everything (including ATVing, which I was terrified to do, but had so much fun). I sold him on cruising

Fh and I have gone on alot of local trips, not really big ones which is why we are so looking forward to our honeymoon.
However, our best trip I think is when we went to Florida for the Probowl. I surprised FH with the trip for his X-mas gift. He had been telling me to buy him tickets to the ProBowl for 3 months and I did. He was completely shocked I actually did it and like a giddy kid the whole trip. The Probowl was a ton of fun and even though it rained, correction poured, pretty much the entire trip we still found so much stuff to do and had so much fun together!

I would say our trip to DR because we got engaged there! We've had other great vacations but you can't really top that haha.

We took a road trip. Started on Long Island. Drove to Detroit and Ann Arbor, then drove to Niagara Falls and then Atlantic City and then Philly.
It was very relaxed and we had a lot of time to just be together!

We've only gone to Miami twice. Both trips were equally good because we relaxed by the pool/beach all day and then went out to dinner at night. It was just nice to actually get away.
