TUESDAY QOTD

Sorry its late ladies had a crazzy morning!!!

So yesterday I was looking over all the bills we have and paying each one and figuring out funds. I realized that I pretty much took on the role of bills and taken care of the funds. Growing up it was pretty much my father who did all that.

So today's question of the day is. Who pays or will pay the bills and budget money in your marriage.

I let my FH do it. I actually moved into his old apartment - and just gave him a check to cover rent & bills. Then when we bought our house - he was already the 'bill payer' so he continued doing it, and I never said anything. So now it's become solely his responsibility except - I pay my car payment, and a few small bills. I really don't mind actually.

But don't misunderstand me - I do pay HALF of everything. He is the one that clicks send on the computer. I guess it will continue like this in our marriage.

In my house growing up, my dad always handled and still does all the finances and paying all the bills.

In my case I handle the account and all payments. I'm really good at it and actually enjoy doing it. I cant imagine DH doing the finances.

My mom always did growing up, and I pay all of our bills now, but that is really because I bought my house without FH (long story, but nothing bad was the cause ) and everything is in my name and linked to my bank account.

FH keeps an eye of what's going on in our joint bank accounts....but I do the same so I really can't give him credit

Me , I have been for a while FI is horrible at paying bills and keeping track!

In my parent's house, it was always my mom. Dad made the money, and mom took care of the house/bills/kids.

with my marriage, it's basically the same!

We both contribute jointly but FH pays most bills (with $$ in our joint account). I'm better at remembering the mortgage and other bills we have to pay by check.

FH does it all. Finances give me anxiety, I always think we're broke and then FH has to calm me down lol

Good question! I kind of have the feeling it will be me. He will not want to sit still to pay bills so I'll end up doing it, which I won't mind at all.
