Re: Tummy Ache
Anything bready... Crackers, bread...PLAIN types - nothing on them..
It will help soak up the acid...sounds silly but works EVERY time for me... Also do NOT lay down until it feels better...the acid will come up into your throat....

I have a duodenal (sp) ulcer and it flares up from time to time...even saw the gastro on Monday!
Hope this helps at all....
You can also try flattening coke - not pepsi... The syrup in coke is supposed to be good for your tummy... When my mom was young - they used to sell it in the pharmacy for belly aches..

Re: Tummy Ache
Pepsid or Tums can help too... If this is an ongoing problem - definitely do a treatment of Prilosec....it's what they give me for my ulcer and it's OTC now...

When I have a tummy ache I eat pretzels, crackers or toast and sit with my heating pad. I feel for you!!! It's the worstest!!!

Re: Tummy Ache
Sounds like you have a good old fashioned law school ulcer...Pepcid AC or an acid blocker...Pepcid makes fast acting tablets...you should get it checked out

Re: Tummy Ache
When I was younger I used to get tummy aches all the time and the dr. told my mom to give me a piece of bread w/ jelly on it or a cookie. They absorb the extra acid in your stomach.
