tungsten rings

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

they are terrible! they are supposed to last forever and be able to withstand anything but they DON'T!

FBIL bought one for his wedding because he is a chef and wanted to wear his ring all the time, even while he cooked but didn't want to get a regular gold/platinum ring b/c he would distroy it.

on his honeymoon, he went to put his band on the nightstand and he accidentaly dropped on the floor and it chipped!!! he continued to wear it and by tthe time he got home there was ac rack in the ring and he could not wear it anymore.

since tungsten has a lifetime guarantee he went back to the jeweler who couldn't believe that happened. when he gave it to the guy who fizes it he wasn't surprised b/c he said this was not the first ring who someone had said chipped or cracked.

they ordered FBIL a new ring and he had that for like 6 months and then at workone day he smashed his hand into a pot and it just broke in half. he went to zales and god a plan white gold band for $125 with a lifetime guarantee.

I even saw a poster the other day in a bridal magazine baashing tungsten - they showed a pic of a tungsten ring broken in pieces and it says when you don't want tungsten - and it showed the rival companies banner. lol.

I bought FH a black tungsten band for our anniversary last year, and within the coarse of 11 months, it has becomes completely scratched, and lost most of it's black coloring. I do not recommend purchasing one. FH is pretty upset bc he wanted to get one for his wedding band, and now I won't let him
