Misty - I agree! They brought up Windows on the Lake food poisoning incident from FIVE years ago. Not to say that's not important, but come on? that's a long time ago.

Ok- so my place (windows) had food poisoning 5 yrs ago. I knew that. At least they are currently violation free!

What is so ridiculous about these reports is that they are 'reporting news' on things that happened 2-5 years ago! That Crest Hollow thing was an isolated incident that happened over a bad batch of fish 2 years ago!

I think it is simply b/c only a few guests at a time every really get sick and many don't put two and two together - it is actually more unusual to get a group of people who get sick quickly - and b/c of that I think they get remembered much longer.

Not too bad for Crest Hollow - but lettuce in a puddle next to raw chicken. That is not cool! However everything is usually packaged and rapped, etc. Not just raw chicken slabbed out over lettuce

My dad was in the restaurant business for 20 years. When a health inspector says 'lettuce in a puddle next to raw chicken', he most PROBABLY said 'lettuce that fell on the floor left on the floor (which should be done, because once it's picked up the person PREPARING IT is contaminated), raw frozen chicken delivery near it'. A health inspector looks for ANYTHING to write up, they are complete morons to be perfectly honest with you. My dad once got a violation for having and orange juice container less than one foot from the grill!
Leave it to the news to make this look like it was as if Crest Hollow dumped a pile of dirty lettuce on top of raw chicken, cooked it up and served it as Chicken Florentine!

What did they say about Windows on the Lake??
Oh i just read about it, and they did say they are currently violation free. I hate the news!!! They are way too dramatic.
