Turquoise and Pink

Turquoise and Pink

I am a pink girl all the way and always planned to have pink in my wedding. My best friends had long resolved themselves to wearing pink for my wedding day. But then I saw a picture at my photographers studio of girls in turquoise holding pink flowers and I made this my color scheme:

I have been really excited about it. We were planning on having bright turquoise beach glass in the vases with pink flowers everywhere. Then to bring in the turquoise and the shells I was going to get these candles.

But now I am unsure.

I am starting to think about doing pink, yellow and peach. I am just afraid the original color scheme is to bright and doesn't go well together. I don't want it to look like a circus.

i love the whole pink and turquoise idea, i toyed with this as my color scheme as well but I'm such a pink girl that I couldn't. I ended up doing light pinks with touches of hot pinks but I think you should go for it, I really love the way it looks.

I think the color scheme is fine. If you look at your pics it can be overwhelming. For example - are you going to have pink plates? Will pink drinks be served on blue trays? Probably not which will tone it down a bit. So when you look at those pics you see overkill and your wedding won't be, so don't be afraid to stick with these colors.

I think the colors are BEAUTIFUL together! It's unique, fresh, feminine...I especially love that photo of the girls in turquoise with pink flowers-the dresses are sick! It's hard not to second guess yourself in this whole process though, so I understand. I'm using a very bright color combo, and a different approach to bm's dresses (half the girls are in green and the other half in this super-bright purple color. It's perfectly me, and I hope to be able to make my whole vision come together, but sometimes I wonder if it's gonna look like a colorful circus, and cheesy..But in the end you have ideas and like certain things for a reason, so go with your gut! Good luck!!!

i think those colors are fine but like the other girls said there will be elements that will drown it out like the plates etc etc and it will look great! if every aspect was hot pink and torquise then id be like whoa but as a base colors i think its great

I think this is beautiful just the way it is. Like the other girls said, you really can't go by inspiration boards, because lets face it, who really goes whole hog for the real thing like the boards picture? Very very few. I think by switching the main color and accent color around, you already 'toned' down the overall vibrancy, and that it won't be overwhelming at all. It's definitely season appropriate. Consider yourself lucky you can get away with it! I would have loved to do something bright and vibrant like that, but would look like a damn fool if I tried in December.

crashing....I was an aqua and pink bride.....there are pics in my album from our wedding if you want to take a look.

I will admit while i love, love , loved how my girls looked....a year and a half later...I sometimes wish I had done white peonies or hydrangeas...so just another option that looks amazing with turqoise but might not look so bright.

(it's not as bright as you think once you see things in person)

Those colors look amazing together but you should use a base like white to ground the colors together so it wont be overkill.
