Hey Ladies... A friend of mine is due any day now with twins...and she was wondering from other mommies...which tushy cream is better out of the 2 choices...TIA

They both work well but I like Balmex better because Desitin seems too greasy, almost like Vasoline. Balmex is more pasty I would say....They have this awesome stuff in Texas called Butt Paste? My sister had it but they don't sell it around here...

Neither. I'll use Balmex because I had it just for preventative measures, but Butt Paste and Burts Bees Baby Diaper creme works best for us.
(I bought my Butt Paste in Walmart and Irishtracy recently found it for me at Target on LI)
I like to use plain old vaseline as a preventative measure to keep the moisture out, but if a rash occurs, I use a & d.

Yup thats the stuff! I bought it when I was preggo because I loved the named and if it didn't work I'd just use something else. Well it works great!
and also, as Emilain said, in the first weeks we used Vaseline to help prevent because it forms a moisture barrier. This is what they used in my hospital. The nurse said its cheaper and if a rash develops then you can use your more expensive creams.
