Do the tux shirts require cufflinks? i just assumed a tux came with french cuffs/cufflinks but maybe there is an option?
any insight on this??

Most rentals give you the option to either button it or use cufflinks.

A french cuff shirt is required for black tie.
Some people will forgo the shirt-button studs, but I think they look really nice and add that extra level of detail.

Mens Wearhouse provided cuff links with the rental.
ETA: They didn't give us an option but we didn't ask either.

Our tuxes came with cufflinks included, but I told them I didn't want them because we were giving all the GM's cufflinks as part of their gifts
