Tux for FH's who are tall and muscular

FH is very concerned about getting a tux because he is 6'2' and very muscular (wide). We went to go get him a nice suit but wound up having to go to a specialty store and get seperates. They told him that he will not be able to get a tux from just anywhere, and he will not be able to rent. the problem is that we are ona budget, and I don't think paying $800 for FH to own a tux he is really only going to wear once is really do-able...unless absolutely necessary (I mean that's almost as much as my dress!). Anyone out there have a FH or DH who is 'big and tall' who was able to rent a tux at a regular place? I am not sure if they just were looking to make another sale.

My friend is 6'7' and very large all around. He was in a wedding a while ago and got his tux from the place in roosevelt field mall. I dont think he had a problem finding a tux there. HTH
