Each tuxedo shop said my groom needs to wear ivory shirt/tie b/c if I wear diamond white and he wears white I'll look dirty.
Wont that make him look dirty??

This is a very good question, my dress is also diamond white, and I was thinking about the same thing. So sorry I can't offer any advise of of yet. I hope someone will post some info and pics

here we are. DH wore Ivory, my dress was what is called candlelight (same thing as diamond white)

I would say go with Ivory being diamond white is close to Ivory. If your FH gets a white vest and tie you may notice the difference in color.
Try to get a swatch of your gown and match it with the tux that will make your decision a lot easier.

my dress was dimond white and my DH wore a white shirt. Ivory was too dark. Try to get a swatch of your dress and take it to look at tuxes.

FH and I did tuxes this weekend. My dress is Diamond white as well. The tux guy said to go with White becuase Diamond white is closer to white than Ivory.

the color of my dress was called candlelight ivory, but it's pretty much the same as diamond white. my husband wore ivory, but it was a very light ivory and i think we complimented each other very nicely! see for yourself!
tux place told me just yesterday that since my dress is diamond white as well, he should wear ivory. He'll most likely wear ivory but with silver vest and tie - so as to avoid any issues of ivory shirt vs. white vest.
I plan to get a swatch of my dress to be sure.

Hey ladies..Just saw this old thread, and its perfect for my problem now, so I am bumping it...My dress is the Maggie Sottero (diamond white) Eleganza, and the guys at the tux place, thinks ivory may go better with it. I think ivory may be too dark..but i woud really love to see some pics of diamond white next to either a white , or a ivory, so i can compare. Ill tell you right now, the charcoal or silver is looking really good right about now, to put an end to this problem! (So, ill take any pictures of guys in charcoal or silver too!!)

I am wearing a Maggie Sottero DW dress (Rowena) and It looks more white than ivory. I have silver detailing , so my FH is wearing silver vest. I guess I took the shortcut, its actually what the guy at the Tux place recommended.

Yes, my Fh also tried the silver vest/tie on, and it looked great, but I also think the white or ivory would look good...The swatch of my dress doesnt help much, because i have a tulle overly, so it makes the satin underneath look different all together.
