Ok, so we went to Mens Wearhouse the other day to pick out the tux and I have to say it wasn't exactly what I expected. May have been the two 17 year old morons they had working there, but who knows? I've been trying to search posts on here and can't find too much about picking out the tux. Did FH get to try it on... or even at least see it in person. We just looked through the book and had to pick. Maybe I'm too fussy but I need to actually see something - not just imagine it. Any advice ladies??

Re: Tux Question???
I went to Men's Wearhouse and I has some bad service there as well. Dante Zeller's lets you try on the jackets and you can see the suits in person. The Tux Shop wont let you try on but you can see them in person. I haven't been to that many other places but a lot of them tell you to look through a book which stinks imo.

Re: Tux Question???
We had the same experience as you and could not get out of there quickly enough!!!!! I swear the people working there had no common sense, were not very nice, and well we didn't want to rent from a place where we couldn't even SEE the dang tuxes!!!
We went with Tuxedo Park in Carle Place and their service was amaaaaaazing. My FH will look so handsome!

Re: Tux Question???
My sister and brother-in-law had a really bad experience with Men's Wearhouse for their wedding, so based on that I woudln't recommend them. Definitley look around and being able to try something on (or at least see it in person) always helps.

Mrs. Q just took the words right out of my mouth!! The same thing happened to us this week. We went to MW and they had nothing for FH to try on and he started to get frustrated. We went to Tuxedo Park and they were outstanding! Grace had FH trying stuff on for over an hour. He was so happy! The only thing to warn about Tuxedo Park is that they are a little $$...but we definitely think the service was worth the money!

Re: Tux Question???
We went to Bonaventure in Garden City. FH got to try on the tuxes and they were so patient, as we tried on several different combinations and vests.
They also do alterations on site. This way, when the GMs pick up their tuxes (FH and Dads, too!), they try it on in the store and they fix it if there is any thing wrong with the fit.
I highly recommend them. We'd have had a really hard time picking out a tux he couldn't try on!
