Fh and groomsmen are getting the tuxes with the tie and vest.
My dad has the other type with the cumberbun and bow tie.
Will my dad look out of place being the only man with that type of tux? I told him the other night that I want him to be comfortable and that he might look out of place and he looked confused when I said that.
A few years ago my cousin got married and all the guys wore the vest and tie and my uncle wore the cumberbun tux and he looked too dressed up. I don't know...
My mom and I are confused about this...

You dad is a special part of the day. Tell him to do what he feels comfy in, you dont want him to feel out of place. My dad is wearing a tie and vest txu but thats cause he is renting one with FH.
Does ur dad already own his tux?

i wouldn't worry about it - he's not going to look out of place. FH and I went to a wedding a few years ago that was black tie optional - he wore a bow tie and cumberbund and the groom wore a flat tie and vest. no one thought it was out of place. i wouldn't worry aobut it

we are having the GM wear pink ties and black vests, and our dads are wearing black ties and black vests. I personally wanted a uniform look.

FH is getting an ivory vest and bow-tie. GM are getting navy vests and ties. I wanted my FH to stand out.
Our fathers and my grandfather can wear whatever type of tux they want! :)
