Tux question- did your father's match the BP or your mom?

I have a father tux question. As of now, I have my fathers and my usher wearing a different color vest than the BP- but, when he went to try it on the guy there told him that his vest is supposed to match my mother's dress? I thought this sounded kinda 'prom' so I wanted to get the truth from the ladies!

i think we're going to have the BP in gray vests, and the fathers in black. but my dress is ivory so i don't know how an ivory shirt would look w/ a gray vest


i had the same issue. my dress was ivory too. we had all of the gm and my dh wear white shirts. the gm had gray vests and my dh wore an ivory vest. it looked really nice.

i'm making a tie for my dad out of some of my dress material-so he'll match me, no one else will.

ill probable have my dad wear the same as my fh and ring bearer just his bow tie will be black not white.

I like when fathers wear black. IMO they SHOULD look different than the BP.
