FH and I went to Tuxedo Park this weekend and really loved them - but they don't offer a plain black vest. Is that normal? They said they could special order one if that is what we really want - we just wanted a vest to match the tux . . . not shiny or with a design or anything. Is this unusual? We really had to press about getting them to even offer ordering a vest for us to see - they said it would make the gms look like waiters.
I'm confused. Is this weird or is it me? Any experiences with Tuxedo Park?

SOrry not sure about your question, but I know it's a good place and we are going to get Dino's tux and the boys tuxes there. His friend's girl works there, and Dino got them for his friend's wedding and they were good.

Yeah, we really liked them, the tuxes were much nicer than others we've seen. I just want to be sure our dads can get a plain black tux!!

Well, they said they can do it right? I'm sure they will and it'll be fine. Just let you them know you want to go through them, but you NEED the black vests!

Well, they said they have to get them from a third party and they can't guarantee the quality! I wasn't completely certain about that answer. Makes me nervous . . .

We did, but they didn't have a lot of a selection. They basically showed us one tux. They didn't have the shirt we wanted (without pleats) or flat front pants. They'd have to be ordered special. The guy was really nice though.

Nope. We're going soon. Sorry. That is weird. Maybe check some other places too.

Try S&S Tuxedo in Hicksville. They have really really nice tuxes and they have basic black.
