Tuxedo Help

Hi I am having trouble deciding on tuxedo color for my stepfather. My moms dress is a light gold when we went to look for tuxes champagne is the closest color to my moms dress. My fh is wearing ivory, is this too close in color??

In the tux book they look about 2 shades different.

Other choices are black vest and tie or black vest champagne/gold tie.
