I am torn on either doing a black vest white tie or white vest white tie for my FH. I feel like the white vest looks better with the jacket on but not as good with the jacket off..like maybe the white on white would be washed out.
What are you doing??

We're doing black vest with black bow tie. FH wanted to match his groomsmen. He'll be wearing the exact same thing as them, just a different boutonniere. I was totally fine with that. Our guests should know he's the groom no matter what color his vest is.

FH and I haven't gone for his tuxedo yet, so i'm not sure which way he will go.... but i think either way will look nice. i would go with what will look better in pictures, i know he will prob have his jacket off during the RH, but those pictures will be around a lot longer than that

Do you think it would be weird to have an ivory tie and vest for formal pictures and ceremony and have him change into a black vest for reception since he will most likely take his jacket off at that point??

fh is wearing the same turquoise vest and tie as the 2 bm. the 5 gm are wearing chocolate vest and tie

i actually really like this idea!
we haven't done tuxes yet so im not sure what FH will want, but our friend wore white vest/white tie and he hates all this pics from the reception since he feels he looks washed out (not sure if that has to do with his coloring tho..he's pretty fair skinned with red hair so idk...)

That does help a lot actualyl.. my Fh is on the pale side.. i felt like it didn't do anything for him to not have black by his face... I think I may have him to a quick change lol
