Tuxedo question...
How far in advance are you suppose to get the tuxedos? We live in North Carolina, and are limited with our trips to LI. Our next trip will either be around Christmas or right after New Years, but our wedding is not until August. The only other time we'll be up to NY before the wedding will be to get our marriage license and to finalize things. That will be to close to the wedding. Is 7-8 months too far in advance? Thanks!

We planned from out of state as well. Our guys all went for a fitting in March and our wedding was in September. The tux place we used was very helpful and even helped my father-in-law do his measurements over the phone! I'm confident that you'll be just fine. I know all our guys looked awesome! Good luck. Tuxedo question...
Your wedding was at the Port Jeff CC, right? Where did you go for your tuxedos? I was trying to come up with somewhere that is located down here as well. I've seen ads for White Tie Tuxedo in Holbrook. Every 3 tuxedos you rent, you get 2 free. I don't know if they're reliable though. What do you think?

We used Gray's Tuxedos - 1601 Main Street in Port Jefferson. Their # is 631-473-1866. They were so helpful and made our long distance planning a breeze! Good luck1 Michele

Actually, they're a mom & pop kind of place. They don't have a website either. They do specials from time to time, like get the groom's tux free with 5 other rentals, etc. We really liked their personal attention and all the follow-up we got was wonderful. They called us several times in the months prior to the wedding just to check in and see how things were going. Also, they do alterations and did a great job on my MOH's dress. Hope this helps!!Welcome New Vendors
