Tuxedo/formal wear- In Westchester

Hi

Have anyone heard of a formal menswear place called SIMMs (i don't know the proper spelling)? My FH prefers not to use Mens WearHouse and so we are trying to find another place that offers tuxedo renting or formal menswear. A person who i had met inside of a florist mention that there is a store called SIMMs but i was unable to find it in the Yellowpages or google. Does anyone have any idea if there is such a thing a store called Simm/s?

Hi! I live up here in Westchester. Simms, is a name brand discount store that also sells or maybe rents men's suits. My Fh gets all of his suits there now. He use to get them at San Marco which is the place near Cross County Mall. They are very expensive. I don't let him shop there any more. LOL I do want a house someday.
Anyway, we are getting the guys suits from Tuxedos by Giovanni on Central Ave in Yonkers. They use to have a place in Mount Veron in Amelia's Bridal, which is where I bought my dress. The guy is really nice and the prices are good.
By the way, I love the Fountainhead! Who is your florist? If you need anything, please let me know. We are reverse planning. I am living in Westcheter planning a wedding in L.I and your are in L.I. planning a wedding here. I know it can be a pain!

So glad you posted this, FH is from the Bronx and so is all his GM we went to San Marco, but I had an uneasy feel from there, like it was too upscale. I was doing research online and found Tux's by Giovani, were you able to try on tuxedos? did they have a good selection? Thanks!!!

I also heard of store called SYM'S but its on LI and they have a huge selection of suit, dont think you can rent though

Thanks all! I had bumped into another thread on this forum that posted the correct name of the store i was inquiring about, its called SYMS. There is one in Elmsford, which isn't too far away from Scarsdale up in Westchester.

I went to San Marko today and i too felt a little uncertain about them because of their prices and they didn't have anything for fh to try on as far as tuxedos. However, they did have some really nice tuxedos on the mannequins. I also tried going to Tuxedo by Giovanni's but they were closed. We will try again tomorrow and see if they have tuxedos for him to try on and compare the prices with other stores.
