Tuxedos

I am not sure if it's best to rent or own? Although, FH and I have not discussed, but I want to be prepared when he asks me what should he do.

they try to get you to buy one...but that is only as necessary as a bride buying her dress.
men say they're never going to wear it again, but really...are we???

K - you're right! If he gets a rental, I want it to fit. I don't know if those things fit well.

FH owns a tux but we'll be renting him a nicer one for the wedding. To be quite honest though he bought a tux that used to be used as a rental....he got the pants, shirt, bow tie, vest, cufflinks set and shoes for like $175!! He's worn it twice and he'll bring it on our honeymoon (cruise) so it's derfinitely paid for itself.

I think he wants to buy. He's big & tall and so if it's the best way to get a good fit, I'll be on board with it even though he'll never wear it again (he already purchased one a few years ago when we had two blacktie weddings in one year - it doens't fit anymore and it wasn't of great quality/expense).

Wow - if you can get use out of it, then it's definitely wiser to buy.

We haven't gone into any stores... but that time is approaching where we need to make a decision.
