We are getting the best calvin klien tux they have at MH for $149, I had a coupon for $40 off each tux. Maybe you can negogiate with MH and ask for a similar deal. To be honest, as long as the label on the jacket is similar, no body is going to notice a difference between the Tuxes. Even in pictures. If it was similar I personally would let them wear it but I am very easy going and try not to sweat the small stuff much.
Where did you get the coupon from? Sounds like you have the same tuxes as us, I would love to get them for $149!! Please let me know where you got it from, I want to keep an eye out for future ones!

I don't think you're being bridezilla at all. The groomsmen should be matching. They should know this.
Can't wait to hear my FH's friends whine and complain that they will be in pink vests. LIke they didn't know that from day one. EVERYTHING in my life is pink. You have to wear it for 8 hours, get over it.
Haha I'm doing pink ties and vests too, with a dark chocolate colored suit. We've got some big rough and tumble. Guys too. They'll live thru it. LOL.
One of the groomsmen told me if I put him in pink i'm subject to verbal abuse. I told FH to speak to him or he's out.
Everyone will l ook like they're in pink anyway with my uplighthing so just shut up and deal!
Its a vest. He'll be fine for 8 hours. Is it a light pink or a hot pink?

I think they should all match but with the price tag I think you should just tell them that if it matches the rental they can wear it but if it doesnt match then they have to get the rental.

You're not wrong. YOU CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE. I worked at MW for 10 years and the truth is I saw it all. Even the tuxedos with similar cuts and the same number of buttons look different than the rentals. A retail Calvin Klein looks different from a rental Calvin Klein. Gm who own their own tuxedos purchased them with the understanding that owning a tuxedo is for a person that either needs it for work or attends a lot of black tie affairs because even if theyre in ten wedding parties every bride wants something different. They never look the same!!!!
It's like this clothing that you purchase is usually of a higher quality than something you would rent. The materials are different the 'black' is different. Chances are their trying to get their monies worth out of their tux. It's your wedding. A tuxedo that they purchased will ABSOLUTLY stand out in pictures. If its a really high quality tux it may even upstage the groom. ( I've seen it happen) if its poor quality he looks like he should be serving you (also seen happen)
The truth is if you just say no they'll go with it. The rental comes with everything they need except underwear. The girls can spend almost $200 on just the dress; then there's shoes, hair, makeup, etc.
The only way to do 'retail' ANYTHING with the guys is if everyone buys them at the same time which is expensive. I once had a wedding party buy the guys gift cards to mw as their gifts. That way if they wanted to save some $ on the tux they could use the cards. I hope that helps.

And as far as the pink I can't tell you how many of them complained alllllllll the way up to the pickup day and then WOULD NOT GET CHANGED BACK ONCE THEY TRIED IT ON BECAUSE IT LOOKED SO GOOD ON THEM!! They complain because its expected. They'll suck it up they always do in the end. Rock your pink!!!!
Besides it could ALWAYS BE WORSE!!!! I had one party in orange bow ties and turquoise vests ( the only orange and turquoise in the wedding) because 'it matched the color of her (the bride) aura' try explaining that to 8 dudes!!!
