Tuxedos - how does this work????

FH picks a tuxedo and the GMs are different from his???

What about my dad and FHs dad? Do their vests match their wives dresses or do I tell them what color to wear???

I think it varies. My DH chose the same style tux as the guys, but his vest and tie were a different color. The guys were in silver, his vest and tie were white.


I know some people have their dads match the wedding party. DH and I told our dads to wear whatever they wanted - they both ended up choosing vests, like the guys in the wedding party, but my FIL wore a bowtie, and my dad wore a regular tie. It looked fine.

Well the way we did everyone is getting the same tux but different vests and ties.

Joe is getting a diamond white vest and tie
His brother ( best man) is getting the same exact style in silver.
all the groomsmen are getting red vests and ties.
Joes dad is getting a vest and tie to match his wife
and My moms boyfriend is getting all black ( since my moms dress is pink)

My DH and GM wore the same tuxes but in different color vests and ties...My DH wore white, the guys wore black.

I told the father's they could wear what they felt most comfortable in, but I wanted plain black. It all looked great together.
