Tuxes

Holy crap -i'm getting married 5 months from TODAY. Insert small panic attack here! LOL

So i'm trying to get FH motivated to start his tux search. We live in Brooklyn, but getting married in Nassau (ceremony and reception both at the hall). His groomsmen are all over - NJ, Westchester, LI, Queens, Staten Island. I assume looking at Mens' Warehouse is our best bet since most guys can find one in their respective towns. Any other suggestions?

Our BP is all over too. We're probably going to go to DiRe just because they offered us the best price because they're the recommended vendor. Some places will allow the guys to get measured by them and call the measurements in, but I'd call and check first. Men's Warehouse may be a good choice though because they're pretty much everywhere.

i'd recommend esquire in merrick.. my FH has been in like 4 bridal parties this year and i thought the ones from merrick were the nicest looking.. a few other places had some really crappy tuxes that were just not well-kept...

anyway, My FH's two best friends live in GA and WI now, and the three of them were in the bridal parties this past year.. you can go to any local shop you want, and they give you a measurement form to e-mail the OOT guys to get filled out.. they can go to any tailor or whatever to get it filled out and then just email it back to you

I guess i'm concerned about the guys GETTING the tuxes beforehand as well. If we order from a local place, won't the guys have to get them a week before to get altered? i dont know about you, but relying on 7 diff men in diff areas is making me SUPER nervous and anxious.

We're using Foresto in Mineola - the guys can get measured anywhere and call, e-mail, or fax their measurements.

If they send their measurements it should be altered to them already. I know the guys will pick up day or two before and if there is a problem of any sort it wil be done that day

This! Warren at Amityville Mens Shop is the best! He truly cares about men's fashion and wants all his customer to look their best!

gonna try Amityville! Don't know if I like the response from Jos. A Bank.... They didn't seem helpful to me, and didn't seem to like that we need to have our guys measured by a tailor here in Bermuda!

We wound up going to the Men's Wearhouse down the road from Chateau. They were really helpful and surprisingly enough, 3 of the guys already went to their local MW and got measured already :)
