TUXES: Do the FOB and FOG get different tuxes from the groomsmen?
I ordered burgundy vests to match the BMs. My dad and FH dad think they are supposed to get diff. colors. My FH is wearing a black vest. What colors are the dads supposed to get? I want it to look coordinated!!!

I don't think the Dads should be in the same tux. They aren't groomsmen, they're your Dads. They should wear whatever tux they like with whatever vest or cumberbund they like. Since they will also be in 'formalwear' they will look coordinated with the rest. I think to have everyone exactly alike will have it look too much like a uniform. JMO.

Im forcing my father into a tux... I think I'll let him wear a black vest to set him off from the others..
Im still debating... Groom wants to wear a gray vest.. the 2 GM vests will match the ladies... with Dad wearing yet another color Im concerned it's too much.

I don't think there is any real need to dress them alike or different - let them choose what they want and if it matches HEY! sweet

OMG Dale and I were having this conversation not too long ago. I told him his father should rent a tux for the wedding. He was like, 'no. my dad will wear a suit.' and I said, 'Nooooo he really should rent a tux. It is an evening affair. It is not like he is a guest where he could wear a suit.' Then Dale says, 'Well, I don't think he'll rent one. He likes his BROWN suit.' Brown???? They still make brown suits??? I can just picture the leisure suits being brought out of the moth balls with the ruffled cream shirt with brown contrast on the end of the ruffles.

I like the idea of your dads in silver. For my wedding, we used:
Groom - Light Silver-Gray Groomsmen - Burgandy FOB/FOG - Black
I loved the look.
I especially liked that my husband was wearing the lightest vest, I thought it coordiated well with the white gown...

we are giving them different vests and jackets - all the guys are wearign 3 button but ffil amd my dad are on the 'portly' side so three button is not flattering - they are wearing 1 button jackets with balck vests - fh is wearing white vest and the guys are in a dark silver......so it kinda flows,but ithink whatever you want goes!!! good luck!

Ant the weddings I have been to, I noticed that the FOG and FOB have tuxes that coordinate with the MOB and MOG dresses...it looked very classy
