My BM are wearing black dresses. My FH was told by people at the tux store that the men should wear black vests. He wants to know if he can wear a platinum vest to set himself apart from them, and if this would clash. My gown has some silvery sparkle in it, so I don't think it would. What do you all think?

FH should compliment you. Defenatley go with platnum. Thats what we are doing. But then what are the fathers going to wear (if any)

Ahh, that was my next question.
Do our fathers have to wear a different tux from the rest of the wedding party? If so, can they wear the same as FH? I am really confused.

You can have the fathers also wear black vests. However, if you don't want them to match the bridal party you can have the fathers wear black, groomsmen wear platinum (they don't neccessarliy have to wear the same color vest as the girls dresses)and your FH can either wear white or a different shade of platinum. Or just have the fathers wear a different shade of platinum. Just a suggestion.

sounds great. i love the look of black vests and i think the groom should definitely set himself apart. my groomsmen are wearing silver/gray vests and my FH is wearing white.
