Tuxes with regular ties?

Tuxes with regular ties?

I am seeing a lot of photos of grooms wearing nice silk / satin ties with their tuxes instead of bowties. My Fh thinks you cannot wear anything but a bowtie with a tux. You can, right? I love the way regular ties look!

Yes, we are not doing bow ties either.. Fh and I are just not fans of the bow tie.

This is the tux we are going with if we can find it somewhere..

I much prefer ties to bow ties (and fortunately FH does too). I really haven't seen many people wear bow ties as of late.

ties are very popular now. I don't see too many bowties anymore.

NO BOW TIES!!!!

I'm in law school and all of the really harsh, really old school professors wear bow ties. So, as far as I'm concerned, I will never even be in arm's length of a bow tie as long as I live!

I would kill fh if he wore a bow tie.. I hate them. Nope just a simple green tie for the guys.

No bowties here. We're actually purchasing new ties for the groomsmen, we're going to get them really nice ones and that will part of their gift.

Kitten you can find these tuxes at Tuxedo park in Westbury. It's next to Bridal Reflections. We are looking at chocolate tuxes as well. They are very nice in person.

These are what the FH picked out for our wedding :) * hes in the pic as well. I think they look great with the regular tie....a bow tie makes me think of black tie weddings, ours is in the afternoon so its a bit too formal for our wedding but it depends on ur wedding

i dont know girls!!! i do love the tie, but i do think bow ties are just classic. i think its a personal choice and it does depend. i havent personally decided yet, but havent ruled out bow ties. i think im leaving it up to FH after all he hasn't had much of a say in anything else
