Tux/Tie Question

Tux/Tie Question

Our guys are wearing black tuxes and vests. For their groomsmen gift we bought them the classic plaid Burberry ties. I made my brother try it on all together when he got measured and I like the way it looks.... I just have two questions...

Do you think it is ok to have them wear it for the wedding?

And does it matter that FH won't stand out and will be wearing the same tie as the rest of his guys?

Three questions... would it be overkill if we got them the matching Burberry socks?

i think it will look nice for them to wear during the wedding and i dont think it matters if DH has the same one. Everyone will know who the groom is

you won't see the socks that much so i dont think that would be overkill

Re: Tux/Tie Question

It's ok, but not traditional.

If they are wearing long ties, they should wear plain or pique front shirts (NOT pleated).

Totally fine for him not to stand out. If you want him to have something different, let him have a nice white linen pocket square, or give him a boutonnière that matches your bouquet, while the groomsmen have boutonnières that match the bridesmaid bouquets.

He shouldn't wear burberry checked socks. The main color of the sock is always supposed to match the pants. For formalwear, they should be black silk, and over the calf.
