Twas two days before Christmas!!!!!

Here I sit with my big red parka around my shoulders, because Husband doesn't think it necessary to turn up the heat. Debi and Fred are in Kings Park. Debi said they were headed to Fred's cousin's for dessert. They plan to look for a RD place, while in Long Island. Debi gave a fabric swatch to Fred's Mom, to take dress shopping. Debi and I went with my Daughter, Donna, on Fri. as she got measured for her gown for Debi's wedding. I asked for a fabric swatch, to take on my hunt for a dress. I saw a lovely light shade swatch, in the book, close to Debi's choice, 'Peacock', aka turquoise. But Debi didn't like it, which surprised me. Later Debi and I went to Jo-ann fabrics, to see if they had any fabics, the shade of turquoise, that Debi has in mind for me.
The only fabric we found was a print, with several shades of turquoise, and I got a sample, but now I'm confused which shade Debi liked within the multishaded swatch! Maybe, I can scan the swatches and put them in my album!!
We didn't have AM Church service because of several days of 'Christmas Eve' services held to accommodate the over 7000 people. My Husband, Son, Daughter, Donna, her boyfriend, and Grandson and I plan to attend tomorrow night's service. Husband, Ben just left, to usher at tonight's service. He wondered if anyone would come, because we're having a lot of rain.
I had a lovely surprise today!!! The doorbell rang like crazy, and I thought, 'Which one of our kids is that??' It was the mailman!!!!!!!!!! I yelled out to him,'What are you doing, working on Sun.???' I guess they're trying to get everyone's Christmas packages delivered. My cousin from Iowa, Sarah, sent me all kinds of neat stuff!!! I totally didn't expect it!! Sarah and I just got aquainted this past year. Our Great Grandfathers were Brothers. Sarah lives on a farm, but works as a home aide, helping Seniors with cleaning etc. Sarah said they have four inches of snow and it's been drifting. She's still waiting to hear from her Husband, who left last night, to plow snow in Cedar Rapids.
I wrapped Christmas presents until the cows came home!! Tomorrow I have a bit of food shopping to do for our Christmas dinner. I'm just having chicken breasts /stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. I ordered a pumpkin pie. It will just be Husband, Ben, Son, Ben, my Mom, and me. Daughter, Donna, her boyfriend, and Grandson, are eating with Josh's family. No ring yet for Donna; That's what's going on in my world!! Toodles!!!! Mary
How about that??? I actually scanned fabric swatches!!!!! They're in my album. The peacock is not showing it's true color. Just wanted to give an idea.
