Twelfth Night - All Digital??

Twelfth Night - All Digital??

We did our epics w/ Dom last night...the pics lookd great except when I was strainging my neck!

our package is for mostly digital and some reg. pics...

He was saying we should do all digital b/c it's easier to take w/you - what are the rest of you doing?

I thought the majority of it would be digital and the balance reg. pics...
any reason why you would do all digital??

Just wondering what I should do...any thoughts?

Re: Twelfth Night - All Digital??

I'm going to use a photographer who does strictly film. Professional digital cameras ARE high quality and they files don't degrade over time, ut they aren't of the same quality as film pictures. If you want digital photos, have he negatives professionally scanned. That's what I believe, but Im really into photography and VERY picky. I've seen people LOVE their photographers and I look at the pics and I notice one egregious error after another. Picking a photog for me is going to be the hardest part! Anyway, I'm off topic. sorry. digis are fine, but I don't think they measure up to the quality and richness of film.

we will do both then b/c i love film too
i have seen his digital stuff (we were there last night) and we looked great in the epics he took, but nothing is like reg. film (i know!!)

he's already booked for our wedding but he asked me last night and was like uh, i think i want film too and moved on w/ out making any decision...

does that mean YOU would have all digital??
i thought some film would be good - i know how to use photoshop (the basics) and am an artist so I can crop, color correct myself...

I think i picked mostly digital but he does the black in white in film(i think)... FH and I are probalby going with the digital/SOHO style album and Dom said it's better to use digital so they don't have to get scanned.

It's hard to say. For my wedding, Dom did approx 400 film prints and 800 digitals.

The digitals are nice because they can be edited. But, I think that there is a color difference between the way the film prints print versus the digitals. The digital prints look brighter.

But, the digitals are SO useful! I can email them to friends and family. Dom put the digitals on a CD, so when people come over they can just sit on the couch and see our pics on TV.

edited to add: We also have some black and white digitals, but most of the black and whites are on film

Did you just put the CD in your DVD player?
I tried doing that with our epic CD and it couldn't read it...

We are getting both film and digital photos, but we are not getting the digital album because franky I don't like them. The color isn't the best.

We are howebver getting the pics on a cd. This way we can do our own mat album later on.

Actually, our DVD player isn't working. My husband popped it into the Play Station 2 and it worked.

I think that with the e-pic it may have been a CD, not DVD. I'm not sure though, ask Dom

I am probably going to do all digital since I am a computer nerd.

Dom showed me one of his albums that was done all digital. I couldn't tell a difference between that and the film album he had.

We are probably going to be using all digital, I still haven't decided yet, as of now we are getting mostly digital and some film, we are also going to be getting a soho album...I guess I'll have to decide sometime before the wedding...we still have to take our e-pics with Dom, about how long did it take?

Re: Twelfth Night - All Digital??

We used Twelfth Night and decided to get color, black and white and digital.

They put the digital on a DVD set to music, like a slide show. I love that! And we got all the digital photos on a CD too because my computer won't read the DVD.

Awe Dom today and we did our E Pics as well... he asked me the same question. I think we'll keep our package as it is and do the mixture. I must say, I'm a computer freak as well and I love the idea of the convenience of it all, so I'm looking forward to the digital pics, but I have to have some film.

I am definitely doing the SOHO album. It's just gorgeous.
