Don't know if this was discussed yet... But did anyone see it over the weekend???
I LOVED it!!!! It wasn't exactly like the book, but they kept all the major lines and changed a few scenes to make the movie flow, which I understood. R Patz was HOT! He was a great Edward.
Any thoughts?

ps - I loved that they played Rob's song Never Think during the restuarant scene. It was so fitting and its a great song.

I hate to say it...I really do, but.....
Kristen Stewart was so god awful that it completely ruined it for me!!! Very poor choice. The girl was so annoying to watch on screen that it took me out of the movie.
R. Pattinson was unbelievably hot ...and an OK actor.
I guess because my undergrad was in Acting I always pay attention to stuff like that...I wish that weren't the case because I would prob enjoy more movies if it weren't...
So..I was disappointed-- but I will of course continue to see them as they come out-- and hopefully Ms. Stewart will improve

Yeah, Kristen wasnt the best ... I think she was annoying when she bit her lips and stuff, like Bella, but overall it was okay.

Oh by the way, they announced on friday that they are beginning to film New Moon - should be interesting to see how they portray that book ... but you are right, I hope Kristen improves, because that book was mostly her! lol

I think I would have liked to see Alexis Bledel in that role...much better actress and more of what Bella should look like..JMO

oh, now that you said that... you are right. she would have been a good Bella... I think they were going with the Indie flick actors because of the budget. I think Kristen physically looks like Bella she just has to work on trying not to go overboard with the facial expressions and things. Bella didnt act that way in the book.

ITA, I did like the movie but Bella was annoying. R. Pattinson was definitely unbelievably HOTTTT! Of course the book was way better but I will also continue to see the movies as they come out.

OMG! SO HOT... FH liked the movie too and he kept telling me he wanted Edwards grey jacket in the movie! he loved the jacket more than the movie

I loved all the books but i gotta say, i was laughing through most of the movie! The over-acting was ridiculous! Jasper looked like he had the runs and kept ruining his underwear! I know the books never get portrayed the way they should be on the big screen, so in that aspect it wasn't that bad, I will still see all the sequels, I just hope they make them see acting coachs and let the author do the screen play. Of all the details they changed they kept the mushroom ravioli!!!

Oh and they changed Emmets hair to short blonde! When it was supposed to be black and culy, that's what attracted Rosalie to him and why she couldn't let him die! But like I said, at least they kept the mushroom ravioli!!!

I still dont get though, why did they film the film in like a 1970s film screen?
I thought it was VERY true to the book

I thought it was VERY true to the book
it was the director - Catherine - she does her films like indie films, its what she is known for, so I think that was it lol

they never said the dazzle thing in the movie ... i know I loved that line and they didnt put it in, but they were in the restaurant in the movie... they played Robs song during that scene.
Hopefully they made enough money with this one that the next movie will have a bigger budget and wont be as rushed as this kind of was.
