My parents have been divorced since I am three years old. My stepfather has been a big part of my life. I plan on having my father and my stepfather walk me down the aisle and give me away. Anyone else having more than one person give them away? Just curious.

I'm pretty sure both my father and step-father will give me away. My parents have been divorced since I was 4, and My step-father has been a part of my life since I was 6.

Re: Two Dads walking you down the aisle
I would have loved to have done that. My moms boyfriend of 20 years has been a huge part of my life, but my father after being divorced 20+ years and remarried is still a jealous vindictive person and either would not have come to the wedding if I had done that or would beat my moms b-friend up on the way down the isle. So to save myself a lot of headaches I just left it at my dad. Luckily my moms boyfriend understood. If your dad and stepdad get along and agree to it, go for it. Sounds like they'll be two lucky guys that day!!

Re: Two Dads walking you down the aisle
Since my both of my parents are deceased, I had both of my brothers walk me down the aisle. One warning- do a rehearsal of how they will do this, even if not in a church or the hall. When we had the rehearsal my sister was laughing her butt off. It seems that they were both holding me under my arms and my sister said it looked like a football carry and that my feet weren't even on the ground. So the day of, one took my arm and the other put his hand on my back. That looked MUCH better

Re: Two Dads walking you down the aisle
My parents were divorced when I was 3, too and my stepfather has been in my life since I was 6. I'm my father's only child and it's very important to have him walk me down the aisle, BUT I'm also having my stepfather walk me down the aisle since he's been with my mom and I for so long...23 years. I was worried what my dad would say about my stepfather walking me down, but he was absolutely amazing about the whole ordeal...yae!!

Ditto here. Love them both so much, both are so great, no way could I exclude my stepdad....
