TWO DAYS AWAY??? more or less
hi girls!been home sick AGAIN..this time w/ bronchitus...and workig from home onmy laptop.
Went to the dr yesterday-gave me an antibotic..so I wasn't up EVERY hr coughing & hacking.
They measured my belly..and now I am 37 cm!
Sunday I was 40! so the baby has dropped...and has been head down for over 4 wks now...and the baby's back is facing forward- right in position!
they said the baby will come at any time within the next 2 wks...could b today, tomorrow or nextwk. Chances r it will not happen while I am still sick.
excited, SCARED, and swtill cant believe it all...except there is no denying this bug belly!!!
how did you all keep sane/happy at this point?
I cant even watch baby story- I cry each time

Re: TWO DAYS AWAY??? more or less
Im so excited for you!!!! I remember being close to the due date 2cm dilated and 80% effaced for 2 weeks... due date came and went.5 days later I had my body back to myself!!
I dont think there is anything you can do to keep yourself sane... Its exciting. Sleep and rest as much as you can!! Try not to be too scared, yes it hurts but its over relativly quickly (you wont be in labor for days) and you have this wonderful baby. You honestly forget the pain of labor.
Congrats and I cant wait to see pictures!!!!

Re: TWO DAYS AWAY??? more or less
Oh, Phyl!! I am so excited for you!!! I remember being in your shoes...it was the Wednesday before Mother's Day, and I was soooo sad and blue, and TIRED of being pregnant. I wanted so badly to 'officially' be a Mom for Mother's Day, but there was NO SIGN that the baby was going to make his appearance. I was IM-ing w/hubby at work while I was crying....Less than 24 hours later, I was in the hospital in labor!! LOL!
My advice to you (ESPECIALLY since you are sick and not feeling well) - GET YOUR BUTT OFF THAT COMPUTER and REST!!!! This is your last chance to rest for awhile, and if you are sick, you will only feel worse later on. You need to be in good health for your own sake and for the baby.
to you....can't wait to hear the news!

Hi Phyl, hope you're feeling better! To make you feel somewhat better, my friend was due this past Monday, 12/16, but was told that they're going to induce her on Dec. 23. Now they told her that since the baby (a
) is between 9-10lbs., they're going to do a c on Mon, unless she goes sooner. I hope you don't have to go through the same thing and go before her!!!

Re: hi gals...
In all honesty, I think it was tough staying sane at the end. Once my due date came (and went) I kept irrationally thinking it's never going to happen-despite the rational understanding that it was going to eventually. I finally couldn't even watch a movie or read a book without my mind fogging over. I think it would be different with a second child. LOL The day I went into labor I decided to make the famous 'labor inducing eggplant parmagiana' from a restaurant in Atlanta whose e.p. supposedly put over 300 pregnant women in labor. As soon as it went in the oven to bake, my water broke! I kid you not!!Oops you were looking for words of advice on keeping sane
Well, if you want the recipe....Just take it a day at a time, sometimes a minute at a time and soon enough you will be holding your little one!! Can't wait to hear the news!!!
