Re: Two Dresses?
I so wanted to do this. But my mom was like... No...... I was torn between 2 dresses. I thinkit is a southern thing where they wear 2 dresses.

Re: Two Dresses?
The only wedding i went to where the bride wore more than one dress was a Chinese wedding - she wore 4! Traditional white and 3 others. God bless her cause I thought picking one was hard enough!! But she was beautiful in all of them, and it was really neat.
hey, its your day, but i think one keeps things easier (unless there is a cultural thing there that has you changing dresses)....

I'm wearing one dress, I LOVE MY DRESS.. I want to wear it and never take it off.. It really stinks that a wedding is only one day..

Re: Two Dresses?
I have been to a wedding where the bride changed into a slinky white dress for the reception. It was by Monique Lluhllier(sp). She looked amazing. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner so I can't post pixs.

Re: Two Dresses?
I iniitially wanted to do that but I realized that I am only going to be a bride once(not to mention how expensive the dress was) so I will not be changing. My ceremony will only last 45 minutes, I couldn't wear my wedding dress for just an hour.

Re: Two Dresses?
I'm going to get a different dress for our first dance (so we can swing dance) but then, I'm going to change back into my gown...or at least, that's the plan! I haven't started to look for the 2nd dress yet.

Re: Two Dresses?
I am staying in one dress all day. I once heard of a bride who wanted to get married in pink so she wore a white gown for the church and pink for the reception.

Re: Two Dresses?
I have a beautiful poofy ball gown that I plan on wearing for the ceremony and part of the reception, but I found this on Ebay and think it might be cool for the latter part of the reception...

Re: Two Dresses?
Not me, but I was at a wedding earlier this year where the bride had 2 dresses. Her family is Indian, but she was raised Catholic, and so was her husband. They had a Catholic church ceremony (all the GM's and the groom were in kilts, but that's from his Scottish heritage). Anyway, the bride wore her white dress for around half the reception, then changed into a traditional Indian Sari. It was really beautiful, and it was a nice way for her to incorporate both parts of her heriage as well. Even the BM dresses were Sari's.
I don't know if this helps you, but I thought I'd share anyway.
