Two Matrons of Honors but neither have helped out

Help! I feel real hurt b/c both of my matrons of honor have neither called me or asked if there was anything that they could do for me. Granted, i do have everything under control but I would appreciate it if they would join in my joyous occasion. Both of these women are married. Does anyone have any advice? I plan on talking to them on Tuesday night. I am very hurt. It's been 9 months since I asked them. Our wedding is 7/6/03.

I think it happens to a lot of people. Ipicked my best friend as my MOH because my sister and I are not close-- well it ends up that my sister has done way more than my friend- but I guess there is nothing I can do now.

Do they live close by?
Maybe invite them over to help wrap favors & such and have some wine & some munchies and make a little party of it.
Maybe they don't know you need help. Yes they should ask, but maybe they have no clue.

Are you the first one of the group to get married? They might not know what they're suppossed to do. I like Jennbaby's idea - make it fun. If you don't want to have a formal talk and put them on the spot, you can just suggest things they could do. Include them in the planning and they'll automatically become involved. Good Luck!

Gee that is too bad Monica, I agree with the other posts..ask them over and maybe you can assign tasks. One of my bridesmaid admitted to me that she had no clue what to do because she had never been in a bridal party and she didn't have one when she got married. Here is a hug for you, I hate to hear brides having a hard time or feeling hurt

Thanks everyone for your suggestions about the chit-chat. It worked out well. Now they know how I feel and we ended up talking about non-weding stuff for over an hour.

I appreciate your help.

I'm glad everything worked out for you monica. You shouldn't have to feel hurt by your matrons of honor. While it's true that they may not know you need help but that's why they should call and offer help. They have the highest honor in the bridal party and should be involved in any way they can be. I aso have two matrons of honor, they are twin sisters and we have been best friends since we were little girls. They are always asking me if I need help with anything and sometimes I feel bad because there may not be anything to do but they do ask all the time. Right now they are helping my mom plan my shower and they have volunteered to plan the bachelorette party. Also later this month we are going to start stuffing the envelopes with the wedding invitations and they will help with that too.

It's good that you had the chit chat with them, that would have been my suggestion on what to do. You shouldnt have to ask for help but if they werent offering it then you had no choice but to ask. Good luck with everything.
