I'm keeping my last name and taking his last name too....but NO hyphen!!!! I'll probably drop my middle name.

Taking his, although when he calls me the future Mrs.........I think of his mother, and god knows I do not want to be like that woman

I'll keep mine for work purposes b/c I'd have to change it with the bar, etc. - too much hassle. I'll take his socially and for whatever I can, and our kids will have his last name, but I probably won't 'officially' change it with dmv, social security, etc. until we have kids. I'm lazy!

I will be taking his. Luckily, we both have very easy last names. But I think it will be weird signing my name a new way after all these years......I am sure I will forget in the beginning!

I actually like both of our names.. she can do what she feels most comfy with. (Though I do admit.. I would love her with my last name.)

I planned on taking FH name, but then he started saying that he really didn't want to wear a wedding band. I told him that either he wears the ring or I keep my last name. I think I'll be changing it after all.

I just think it's part of the whole union thing. I never thought it was that important to maintain my own name. Maybe I am just too traditional, but that is my feeling on it. I thought it was pretty cool that Jamie Lyn (from Soprano's) took her husband's name when she got married and she is an actress, they seem to think their careers are based on their names.

I kept my name. I just found the whole concept of changing my name very strange. DH wasn't too thrilled, but I agreed that if we have kids they'll have his name, so he conceeded!
