Two Questions on Placecards

Two Questions on Placecards

Is it ok if I just use the ones the place gave me and handwrite them? Or is that really cheesy? I wasn't going to bother printing them up because it seems that there are so many last minute changes. I figured people take them, find their seats, and then don't look at them again.

Also - do you think it's ok to write couples' names informally on the cards - like Jane and Joe Smith instead of Mr and Mrs Smith - I am one of those people who woud like to acknowledge the female by her name - not only as a Mrs.
Let me know what you think!!
Thanks!

You pick up your placecard and its gone for the rest of the night. If the place is giving them to you then use them. I like the idea of putting the actual names on them also. I hate how women get lost in mens names sometimes.

I would def use the cards the place gave you and I think its fine to handwrite them...
By using people's names I feel it will be more personal... good idea...

If you want to ahndwrite them how about writing them in script with one of those gold or silver makrer pens..that cna look really elegant but still allow you to make last minute changes (just have someone bring the en and the extras with them)

It's not that hard to print them up on the PC, btw

sure! anything goes as long as it's neat and elegant

we plan on using first and last names, skipping the formalities for this one...

I think that it is fine to handwrite them. They get used for all of 2 minutes until a person finds their seat and then they never get looked at again.
