My side has about 70 and they all live upstate. 3 hours away. Fh side is small and is about 40. I am having a jack and jill shower upstate. Should I have a small one here for people here? I don't want people to have to travel three hours to come to my moms. Also where would I have it? Any good ideas? TIA!

Re: Two showers?
Wow thats a lot of people. Since you are getting married here I think u should definetly have one here. IMO there is nothing wrong with having 2 showers! My shower was at a restaurant. Can you have it at someones house?

Re: Two showers?
I am having 3 actually
One in PA (my side of family) One in NY (FH family and our friends in NY) One in CO (where we live now)
I think it's fine as long as you aren't inviting the same people to more than one shower.

Re: Two showers?
to be honest, i don't think many people at all will travel 3 hours to your shower. my girlfriend is having 2 showers; one in binghamton and one in co. so i drove up upstate to the shower and stayed the whole weekend. i would never have done the trip in one day.
what does you fmil and fh say about having one here? sounds like a good idea to me and it could be jack and jill again too. especially since it will be fh side.

Re: Two showers?
We have decided to have a shower here also. I just didn't want his side to feel like I was excluding them from our first shower. I guess I could explain I am trying to accomidate everyone. I have to find a place for 40 people now?
