My FI works with his hands and I don't want him damaging the wedding band I'm paying so much for so I'm getting him a simple plane band for work and the 'nice' one for going out.
Anyone doing the same?

i'm doing the same thing as you. my fh works w/ his hands as well and we are getting him a plain one, and then one more fancy for going out.. dont want to ruin the nice one and you dont walking around w/o one lol

I think a lot of people do this - especially if they work with their hands.
I will essentially have three bands. The first band was my mothers which was fixed to fit me (ceremony only - then worn on right hand afterwards and daily.) The second band is the plain platinum band I will wear with my e-ring AFTER the ceremony until we can afford to buy a THIRD band which (I am hopeful) will have a bit of bling in it. It simply isnt in the budget right now.

Yes, I am geeting FH a cheap band to wear to work. It would get ruined otherwise!
