Two Wedding Dresses?

Two Wedding Dresses?

I am wearing a beautiful dress for my wedding. But the dress is very wide (think Princess Diana). I am concerned that I will have difficulty dancing in it. I was also planning on wearing another dress for the post-party (jazz hour) so I can relax.

What do you guys think? Comments would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking about getting a Vera Wang Bridesmaid dress in white as the second dress.

Here is a pic of my dress:

I knew someone that did that - she got two dresses at David's $99 sales. She loved the excitement of changing and her second gown was much easier to dance in.

ETS - It never occurred to me to do that. I loved my gown and while it wasn't really wide, it was so much fun to dance in. It was a once in a life time princess feeling and I didn't want it to end.

I don't think it's necessary, but if you can afford to, than you should do it if you want to. You could get something more sleek and flowy for your 2nd dress. You could probably find something in a regular store like Bloomies, or you could pick out a pretty BM dress and order it in white.

If you are able to you should. It is important to be comfortable

Yeah, why not?! If you can bear to part with that GORGEOUS Amelia gown sooner than you have to in order to dance -- then why not! The only thing better than getting to wear the wedding gown of your dreams is getting to wear TWO in the same day!

i think if you can afford to then you should but the dress gets easier to work with as the day goes on lol. when i first put mine on i was so stiff and frankenstein like lol and by the end of the night i was a pro with it

I was actually thinking of doing the same thing in the beginning but decided against it. I thought it would just be too much to change and worry about my hair and makeup, blah, blah, blah. This is the dress I was looking at.

I did this.... I wore my Maggie for the ceremony & the fisrst half of my reception, then I changed into a David's Bridal dress to dance in. I unfortunaltely lost a bunch of the Sworski (SP?) crystals from my Maggibefore I changed, bu tit was so worth it to dance & people bugged about seeing me in 2 dresses.
