Two wedding ideas

Ok...let me know what you think. I want to find a non cheesy way to give away centerpieces and I came up with having the centerpiece go to whoever is married the longest at each table.
#2 instead of my throwing my bouquet invite all couples to dance and narrow them down so that it is only dating couples left, then somehow narrow it down so my MOH can get my bouquet.
(MOH and best man are dating, and they are our best friends) Thought this would be cute...
FH HATES both ideas...

Re: Two wedding ideas

I don't know if I would do the couple married longest - unless you are sure that there isn't a recently divorced, separated, or widowed person there who this might make sad. Our DJ did the thing where everyone passes around a napkin and when the music stops that person gets the centerpiece. I really was against this, but he was unclear on my wishes, and people later told me they thought it was cute. As for the other idea - might be complicated? how about just simply presenting her the bo-k? I wanted to do the anniversary dance, but my aunt and uncle who's 51st wedding anniversary was the day before my wedding couldn't make it, and I lost my ambition. I lost my grandfather in June - I went to the cemetary when I got back from my honeymoon and left the bo-k on his grave....weird, I know!

Re: Two wedding ideas

I was actually talking to somebody about this idea last night and they said to either put a name in an envolope with the person you want to have the flowers(could cause problems) or put a red or colored piece of paper under the showplate and that person will win.
