Two wedding nightmares last night!

Two wedding nightmares last night!

I feel like we're all having wedding nightmares as of late!

In my first one I booked three hair appointments an hour before the wedding started thinking I could show up at each place and compare how they did my hair and go with the place I liked best. That didn't work because the first place I went to took up so much time. They did my hair horribly and I ended up being late to my wedding. People kept saying how selfish I was for booking all the appointments and wasting the hair dressers time and how they won't get paid now, even though I had sent my BMs to the other appointments in my place to make sure that didn't happen.

In my second nightmare I arrived at the church only to find that my dad wasn't there and he had decided that he no longer approved of the wedding and he was divorcing my mom, moving upstate, and becoming an alcoholic. I was so devastated, but because the wedding was starting I had to walk myself down the isle.

I was so freaked out by these I didn't want to go back to bed. And of course they had to happen on a night when I was feeling so good about FH and everything.

Anyone else have any nightmares lately?

P.S. Sometimes I interpret my dreams on dreammoods.com (it's a really great website) and I thought this was interesting about weddings as a symbol:

Wedding
To see a wedding in your dream, symbolizes a new beginning or transition in your current life. Dreams involving weddings are generally negative and highlight some anxiety or fear. It often refers to feelings of bitterness, sorrow, or death. Alternatively, wedding dreams reflect your issues about commitment and independence.

To dream that you are getting married to your current spouse again, represents your wedded bliss and happiness. It highlights your strong commitment to each other. It may also signify a new phase (such as parenthood) that you are entering in your life.

To dream that you are planning your own wedding to someone you never met, is a metaphor symbolizing the union of your masculine and feminine side. It represents a transitional phase where you are seeking some sort of balance between your aggressive side and emotional side.

If you are getting married and have dreams of your pending wedding, then it highlights the stress of organizing a wedding. Conflicts over wedding details, tension with family and in-laws, fear of commitment, and loss of independence may all cause wedding anxiety dreams. Research has shown that up to 40% of brides and grooms have dreams about their ceremony and things going perfectly.

And some other related wedding symbols:

Marriage
To see a marriage in your dream, signifies commitment, harmony or transitional period. You are undergoing an important developmental phase in your life. The dream may also represent the unification of formerly separate or opposite aspects of yourself. In particular, it is the union of masculine or feminine aspects of yourself. Consider the qualities and characteristics of the person that you are marrying. These are the qualities that you need to look at incorporating within yourself.

To dream of a proposal of marriage, suggests that some situation will take a turn for the worse.

To dream that you are getting married to your ex, suggests that you have accepted aspects of that relationship and learned from those past mistakes. Alternatively, it means that a current relationship shares some commonality with your previous relationship with your ex. However, you will not make those same mistakes.

Nuptial
To dream of your nuptials, foretells of an engagement that will lead to much joy and harmony.

Wedding Dress
To wear a wedding dress in your dream, indicates that you are evaluating and assessing your personal relationship.

To see someone else wearing a wedding dress, suggests that you are feeling inferior or unworthy.

Wedding Ring
To see a wedding ring in your dream, represents completeness and eternal love. If you are not married and find a wedding ring, then it may mean that your personal relationship has reached a new level.

To dream that you lost your wedding ring, signify a problem or unresolved issue in your marriage.

It must have been something in the air I had a bad one last night.
We were getting married in a church (which would NEVER happen) and I cursed out the priest because they were running behind by 4 hours!
Then I was wearing black pants and a button down shirt and my BoK was so tiny. I remember walking down the aisle thinking 'This is not at all what I pictured' It was just a mess.

I keep having 2 over and over again.

1) I forget to buy a veil and the morning of the wedding I am freaking out and screaming at my mom, 'how could you let me forget a veil''

2) I wake up really late and don't have time to get my hair/make-up done and I look hideous for our wedding!!
