TWOTY (I need advice.. my FH doesnt want to go)

ok so my FH thinks going to Venetian Yacht Club would be a total waste of time.... because of the commute.. we would have to take the LIRR from bayside to Jamaica then get off at the stop nearest to there and catch a cab.. maybe it will take like 1-2 hours.. I told him all the free prizes and the free liquor and food and he still wont give in.. and since I havent been to any weddings I told him it would be a good idea to get ideas.. but I dont think he cares,..
then hes like do what ever you want.. you want to spend $50 dollars and commute 1-2hours to see if you win anything go ahead.. I'm like it will be fun and we started arguing.. is TWOTY really worth it?? any thoughts girls?
