I notice typos too- if they are obvious ones. I recently told FH that whenever he texts/emails me he spell you are / you're like this - 'your'. I couldn't help it! LOL

Will you help me proofread my invites/ programs / lol??? When they are finished, of course....

It will drive me crazy if there are any typos on my wedding things, Im just that kind of person that everything has to be perfect, no mistakes but NO ONE IS PERFECT so its ok

i'm the same way b/c i was an english major and a big writer. it only bothers me in professional circumstances and seriously one of my textbooks has tons of typos and it drives me nuts - like how can i take it seriously if it wasn't written well.

we are all a little anal about certain things; nothing to feel guilty about

We had our e-party at an italian restaurant and they made us a Napolean cake in addition to the cake we brought in. they brought the cake out and I immediately started laughing. Can you see why?

They fixed it but my sis got a pic of the original version

Beautiful cake!!!! Looks soo yummy. I can see why

I noticed the exact mistake you're referring to....and that particular mistake is one of my pet peeves!

No honestly as a graphic designer I find stuff after it is printed sometimes nad its VERY frustrating. For the most part I get all my type-0's but i do agree i can't understand how some things get approved or are requested to be said a certain when I do jobs.

Even my own I got annoyed when one word had a odd spacing (kerning) inbetween two letters and that was a computer gliche not my error. I see some girls who post their reviews on invites and such and MAN if a designer sees that its like is it a diy or did you really get this professionally done.

I really noticed when a pro does especially with tracking and kerning more so then a type o.

I'm an artist too and I definitely notice the spacing issues! It's huge pet peeve of mine. Also, random capitalization. Someone posted a draft of an awesome looking menu but some food names were capitalized and others weren't (w/ no particular rhyme or reason) so I pointed that out to her since she was looking for any comments before printing. I used to circle all of the typos in my contracts textbook, and my eye for typos actually got me a job as a research assistant for one of my law professors last year (editing an article he put out).

I'll be happy to read invitation drafts.... might as well put 'the curse' to good use

I was just reading through threads and I saw the cake and just had to laugh. Thank god they fixed it.

I'm going to be honest. I'm an English Professor. I see typos all the time, and I hear ppl make grammatical errors when they speak. I think its OBNOXIOUS when ppl point them out and/or correct them in social situations. I would never do it, and when I hear someone do it I get angry b/c its truly insignificant. So what if ppl make typos, spelling errors, etc? In the grand scheme of things does it really matter? If I wanted to be graded on speech or my LIW posts, I'd hand them into my Dept head and ask him to grade them for me.

ETA - not that you're obnoxious, I'm just commenting on the subject in general.
