Ugh, I'm sorry. But if the the World Cup ends on 7/11, why can't they make it to the 7/18 wedding??????

They live in Munich so FH thinks she's going to throw up a fuss because they'll be jetlagged....which honestly, after all the unreasonable fuss she's put up I wouldn't put it past her.

I think you've been more than flexible and you really didn't have to be. If you do change your date for her again...I would revert back to May and tell her she can choose...May or July...but you're getting married with or without her there. Its just so selfish of them. A lot goes into planning...causing you stress is just cruel.

Normally its not cool to plan ur wedding before someone else who got engaged first, but i this case your 100% right. She's having two weddings, come on! If she was so concerned with her U.S. wedding she should have had that in may and gone to england in August... and F the us open... shes being selfish

i m sick of this 'wediquitte' you do what you want.....90% of Americans marry and we can't do it chronologically!!!!! My family is Italian and we sure as Shyt didn't plan the wedding around the World Cup!!!! Tell FH that his sister is dillusional and you have made enough concessions already....

if she wasn't having 2 weddings i would prob say wait (just bc fsil just got engaged and before they decided when they were getting married i was FREAKING out)

however, if her first wedding is in may i think you're fine with your date

hmmmm.... this is a toughy... I think her 2 weddings are a non-issue. If she decided to have her first wedding in may, in US or otherwise I think you are fine there...
However- I think you really should talk to your FH about this. Remember it is her sister, and although she is being selfish (IMO) HE might still really want her there. If he does then you might want to change the date to make him happy, NOT HER. If he doesn't care then keep it as is and continue with your planning your July wedding

She needs to get over it...especially if she's having TWO weddings. And you definatly shouldn't have to plan your wedding around somone else's vacation...thats just screwed up in so many ways.

if she has no problem planning a month long vacation right before her brothers wedding then why should you be so worried about inconveniencing her. the world cup is a sporting event, that happens every year. u & FH get married once.

Don't budge!!! You had already told them the date and if she says she will be too jetlagged to go, then tell her that she won't go.

They are just trying in anyway they can to disrupt your wedding, so stand your ground and don't let them sway you.

Omg, you are not wrong for being upset over this. This is her brother's wedding, if she wants to miss it then that's her problem. It's 7 days after the world cup ends, so they have lots of time to make it to your wedding. But I don't think you should change the date AGAIN because of your FSIL and FBIL.

she needs to relax! serious I love soccer and would love to go to the world cup games!! ....it ends a week before your wedding and there shouldn't be excuses!! she needs to calm down!! and notice how you have been trying to be as compromising as possible!!! good luck
