I don't understand why you would expect a store to take something back that was not purchased at the store? I think the fact that they took off the purchase for you when your guest called them and told them it was purchased somewhere else shows good customer service, I can't tell you how many duplicates I received off of my BBb registry because my guests bought them elsewhere and BBB did not remove them from my registry.![]()

okay, so this might be a pain in the ***, but what about going to other places that carry that china, and having them check the bar codes to see if they were purchased there? or going to another fortunoffs, and not telling them that it was a registry gift, just that you are returning it, you might not get the same amount of money back, but at least it would be done with...
