Yeah really, it seems like the overwhelming majority of girls here are teachers. I'm in marketing, and my vacation has consisted of last friday, this coming friday, and the following friday. Bah! I don't get vacation time at all, which means that I can take off as much as I want in theory. But I almost wish I only had a set week or set two weeks, because then I would feel entitled to it, and not have to feel guilty for taking time or, or even worse, having to barter in order to get three days off and have to explain why i'm taking off.
I feel your pain!!! I am in Marketing too...It's like they expect you to hand them over your LIFE!!!!

I went into my room and got nothing done! All I did was talk to people about getting engaged since it was this summer and I haven't seen anyone! It was fun but not productive!

I set up my room today too. My WONDERFUL FH came with me and we did everything today so that we can enjoy the last 2 days of summer vacation. My room was a mess also and I was at the point where I didn't even know where to start. Oh well! This only brings us closer to 09 so I don't mind

honestly...sometimes I wish i had a 'real' office job. Teaching takes sooo much out of you youre on your feet all day and then when you head home your up till like 12 grading and preparing etc. I find myself taking the first month to de-stress of vacation... Even fh said to me he wouldnt trade places with me for the world because of how much poop i have to deal with :(

I went in today also, I took FH with me. It was a new experience for me since this will be my first year teaching. It was exhausting decorating and putting everything in place. I have to go back again one more time before school starts to get my desk in order
