Ugh....

I set up my classroom today and being there feels like I never left! Ugh... I hate having to go back to work...I could so stay home and never work again....as long as the checks kept coming

I did the same thing today....I feel the same way too!! I woke up with a cold and a sore throat today too!! I was healthy all summer!!! I think I'm allergic to school.....

Yeah.... I tried to do that only to find out the ceilings are being painted and I can't go in until Thursday (our first official day)!

OH NO!!! I am so anal about having everything set I would die! I work in 2 buildings...a middle school and an elementary school so I only did the elementary school....I am tackling the middle school tomorrow...maybe...LOL

i get to go Tues and Wed 9-1 but....i have my hair trial tom..so Wednesday it is...i'm afraid to see my room...when i left the new room i'm in still needed an additional12 desks and chairs to make 24...ugghhh I don't think they will be there

I thought I would only have to go in today and be off the rest of the week - NO WAY! My room was a MESS!!!!! We were there from 9-3 and my mom is coming back again tomorrow - that's how much we still have to do.

I know...I had to change rooms and the room I was moved to was used as a storage room!! So there was still a bunch of crrap in there that needs to get out!!! And not to mention how dusty and gross the shelves were from not being used in ages!!! YUCK!

Luckily I worked summer school and got all my bulletin boards papered already so all I have to do is staple borders, letters that I've already cut out, put up string for hanging chart paper and do my door decorations. It'll still take a few hours but I love decorating so I dont mind staying after school during our PD days.

And talk about anal, each year I have a different theme for my classroom.

Don't feel too bad...I have to work ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL year long!!! I get 3 weeks vacation and 12.5 holidays!

Yeah really, it seems like the overwhelming majority of girls here are teachers. I'm in marketing, and my vacation has consisted of last friday, this coming friday, and the following friday. Bah! I don't get vacation time at all, which means that I can take off as much as I want in theory. But I almost wish I only had a set week or set two weeks, because then I would feel entitled to it, and not have to feel guilty for taking time or, or even worse, having to barter in order to get three days off and have to explain why i'm taking off.
