UGH!!

Ok so I just posted on the other tread that we were going to see FM Entertainment tonight. Well 15 minutes before FH is about to leave work he has mandatory OT and can't leave. They are on a big job (he works for ConEd) Anyway I emailed FM to cancel, which I feel terrible about, being short notice and all.

Anyway I'm just venting because its just so hard to get things done during the week because FHs schedule is so unpredictable I hate having a weekend full of running around all day Saturday and Sunday and trying to fit it around our other plans.

UGH just needed to vent. FH works so hard & is taking all the OT he can get so he can give me the wedding of my dreams and I am so grateful but its so annoying trying to schedule all this important stuff and then sometimes having to cancel. I hate cancelling on people. I always feel bad. I'm sure the vendors understand, I just hate it.

Thanks for listening to me b*tch

Re: UGH!!

I hear you! FH works 6 days a week and right now they're very busy and every night is a different time home.

UGH!!

I definitely understand! FH is a teacher and also does a LOT of extra stuff for the school to make extra money, so it's hard to plan unless he's on break or something. I had to postpone Pre-Cana TWICE due to school conflicts. I don't complain much because, hell, I'm super busy too. But it's definitely frustrating when life gets in the way of fun stuff like wedding planning!

UGH!!

This stinks sorry to hear. But I totally can relate. I'm off at 7 most weekdays and work weekends (only time FH is off)

UGH!!

I know exactly what you mean. I've been planning a Long Island wedding from Manhattan. I have no time for myself on weekends!

UGH!!

Why don't you go see a few of these things with a friend and then if you really like them and think they are the one maybe then you can go together. I had to do this with FH because of his schedule. Just offering another option. I know its tough but some things I actually liked doing that way or maybe I just got used to it.

UGH!!

It is hard planning appointments during the week and cramming everything into the weekend. I offered to go check out photographers and DJ's and report back to FH, but he felt left out of the whole planning. Hopefully you can reschedule with the DJ soon. I hope you have a good rest of the week!

UGH!!

If it wasn't the DJ I wouldn't care. He is more into music then me so I want him there. If it was something like flowers, invitiations, limos I wouldnt care I did the photographer without him because he had to work.

UGH!!

FH has a 'absentee relief' schedule, so whenever someone calls out he has to fill in for them. We don't know what his schedule will be until a few days before he has to go in. Now that everything is booked, its a bit easier, but it REALLY sucks. I totally know how you feel!

UGH!!

I work 12hrs from Tues-Thurs and my FH works a rotating schedule and a ton of OT and is exhausted when he comes home at 730-8pm- the last thing he wants to do is meet with a vendor. Our schedules don't allow us to do anything during the week UNLESS we are both off the next day and we don't have to wake up early. It is very annoying....

UGH!!

My job can be very unpredictable sometimes and I just pray that things stay the way they have been so that I can continue to get my planning done. I met with a DJ today and really liked him. I have two appointments with florists this week and another appointment with a second DJ on Monday. At this point in the game it will be appointment after appointment for us. :-/
